She required an IELTS band score of 8.0, a highly demanding benchmark, to qualify for a prestigious archival internship at the New York Historical Society. Despite her already advanced English, reaching band 8 under time pressure was a serious challenge. Shayan designed a focused six-month plan tailored to her specific weak points.
